Despite the rapid rise, the bass bite remains solid given the warm water inflow into the lake. The lake rose 8 feet Tuesday alone, and high flows between 5,0. Merced River to allow for anticipated snow melt and storm runoff. In the San Joaquin River, Sycamore Island Pond opened a week ago and the park will be open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and all state holidays. The trout pond is stocked and all ponds are open.
